Compare / Lode and Housecall Pro
Keep Housecall Pro. Improve the work around it.
Start with one task around your existing tool. Review a sample result, then confirm the records and access it needs.
Keep the work your team already manages in Housecall Pro. Lode is built to take on the follow-ups, checks and coordination around those records. Start with one task and confirm the connections your account can provide.
When to add Lode
- Quotes and invoices need a follow-up outside the job record.
- A supplier delay affects a booked visit and the customer promise.
- Extra work sits in site notes but misses the price.
- The team checks tomorrow's materials through separate email threads.
Choose one of these tasks for a walkthrough. Review a sample output, then confirm which records and account permissions it needs. See how Lode runs and the operating examples.
What stays in Housecall Pro

What Lode is built to run around Housecall Pro
Choose the records needed for one task, then confirm how your account can provide them. The examples below show the information to bring together and the work to review.
| Routine job | Records needed | Work for review | Who approves |
|---|---|---|---|
| A job completed but not invoiced | Invoices in QuickBooks Online against the jobs in the inbox | The list, oldest first | The office |
| An invoice past due with no touch | Invoices in QuickBooks Online, the customer's email thread | The reminder, with the history attached | The office or the owner |
| A quote with no follow-up | The sent email | The chase message, dated | The office |

| Unbilled change orders (variations) | Site notes, quoted scope and job records | Extra work linked to its source, for pricing review | The commercial lead |

Plan a workflow alongside Housecall Pro
Bring one job and the messages around it to a walkthrough. We assess the records available from Housecall Pro, your inbox and accounting tools. Your account administrator confirms access before any connection is planned.
Explore the tasks under what Lode runs.
When Housecall Pro alone is enough
- You are on Basic or Essentials, one person does the office, and the follow-ups are done by the end of each day.
- Your jobs are short, parts come off the van, and no supplier ever holds you up.
- Your booked jobs, customer questions and follow-up timelines already have clear owners.
Bring a practical question to the walkthrough
Which jobs include extra work that still needs a price? Which quote needs a reply today? Review a sample result, then agree the records and person responsible for it.
For a repeated task, agree when to check it and who approves the output. Keep the first workflow small enough for your team to review.
The decision
| If this is you | Do this |
|---|---|
| Housecall Pro covers the work and the office keeps up | Keep Housecall Pro and carry on. Use the comparison to identify the next workflow worth improving. |
| Housecall Pro holds the jobs, but the chasing and the joining-up are done by hand | Keep Housecall Pro. Book a walkthrough. |
| You want to leave Housecall Pro | Lode is not a Housecall Pro alternative. Compare the other systems on their own pages before you move. |
