Compare / Lode and mHelpDesk
Keep mHelpDesk. Improve the work around it.
Start with one task around your existing tool. Review a sample result, then confirm the records and access it needs.
Keep the work your team already manages in mHelpDesk. Lode is built to take on the follow-ups, checks and coordination around those records. Start with one task and confirm the connections your account can provide.
When to add Lode
- Sent quotes need a follow-up from the inbox.
- QuickBooks invoices need checking against messages about the job.
- Supplier replies change the materials or timing for a visit.
Choose one of these tasks for a walkthrough. Review a sample output, then confirm which records and account permissions it needs. See how Lode runs and the operating examples.
What stays in mHelpDesk

What Lode is built to add
These workflow examples show the records to connect and the work your team can review. Confirm access before planning a connection.
| Task to review | Records to connect | Prepared output |
|---|---|---|
| Unbilled change work | Site notes, quoted scope, invoice records | Extra work that needs a price decision |
| Quote still open | Sent quotes and reply history | A follow-up to send, with the quote attached |
| Supplier bill check | Purchase order, bill, and delivery record | A quantity or price difference for review |
| Plan after a schedule change | Materials, crews, and customer commitments | A proposed plan and the related messages |
| Regular job check | A job question and the records needed to answer it | A repeating review with a named owner |
The API boundary
mHelpDesk does not offer a public API or a self-service developer portal. Integrators describe the API as pending, with access limited to a partner console. Most workflows fall back to Zapier and the QuickBooks connector, or to manual work in the web UI. mHelpDesk does support CSV import and export for customer and site data, and a two-way sync with QuickBooks for financial records.
Confirm the records available through your inbox, accounting package and existing account permissions. Use those records to plan the first workflow with the Lode team.
